Let me start by saying that we are very happy that we chose Dalco to build our home. It has been clear from the very beginning that Flay and Carter have worked hard to earn their reputation as honest, dedicated to high quality and true-to-their word. We have never built a home before, and it is very important to us to be able to trust our builders in all things. That's the way we feel about everyone at Dalco.
It is clear that they always managed this project "with the end in mind." The final product was a high-quality home that we -- and they -- are proud of. Nearly every phase of the construction exceeded our expectation in terms of quality and esthetics. Inevitably, there were some changes - large and small - to our original plans, and some problems to solve. Dalco was very helpful in evaluating the cost/benefits and coming up with sound proposals and creative ideas to accommodate these modifications.
We were impressed with how well Dalco works with most sub-contractors and suppliers. The supply houses for fixtures and materials were local, with good selection and staffed with knowledgeable and helpful sales people. Coordination of the work plan for carpentry, electrical, plumbing and heating & air went seamlessly.
We are very pleased with the craftsmanship in our new home. Again, it's clear that Dalco hires qualified and reliable professionals for carpentry, flooring, stone work, tile, painting and finish work. It's very reassuring to witness such pride in workmanship.
Dalco's method for reporting monthly job costs (managed by Connie McDaniel) allows owners to keep a close and accurate monitor of payments and expenses compared to budgets and allowances. Another staff member (Ginger Pitts) serves as an excellent customer liaison to the builders and suppliers and is very responsive and professional.
We can highly recommend Dalco.

I would like to commend you and Dalco Homes for the wonderful job you did on our home at Lake Keowee. I am still amazed at how smoothly the construction of our house went and I am very impressed with the quality of the construction.
From the start, your direct involvement and attention to the orientation of the house and the location of the retaining walls proved to be invaluable. From that point, we could not have received any better quality individuals and better management than we received from Carter and Eddie. The attention to detail and the conscientiousness that we saw from these two individuals was incredible and unlike anything we have seen in previous building experiences. Carter was always ahead of the construction and gave us plenty of notice for making our material selections. The scheduling of the subcontractors was always well coordinated and I cannot recall a time when work was not progressing.
Now that we have enjoyed our first spring and summer in our lake house, we appreciate the value that Dalco Homes provided even more. The follow-up to the few warranty items that we have had has also been great.

"We initially purchased lakeside property from DALCO Properties and also chose them as our builder. This was the first home we had ever built and did not know what to expect.
DALCO was very patient and helpful from the very beginning in making the initial arrangements and selection of an appropriate floor plan to suit our needs. During construction, DALCO coordinated all parts of the building but provided us the opportunity to make any decisions that we wanted, particularly with respect to interior details.
The construction superintendent was very cooperative and knowledgeable in all aspects of the building process. He maintained very good communication and was flexible in meeting with us, which was very important since we live 90 miles from the construction site. He also provided excellent advice based in his past experience and gave us options to consider if changes were possible.
The project schedule was maintained and completed within the four-month estimate. Overall, we were very pleased with the work and feel that DALCO constructed a quality home for us."

 Family and friends have now seen the finished product and they are all astounded. Of course we watched the progress on our weekly trips from Atlanta. We could see the quality that went into each step of the construction starting with the foundation, framing and all of the many steps leading to completion…As we made our weekly trips, it soon became obvious that Dalco was uncompromising in demanding the best work from the subcontractors every step of the way. Over-all satisfaction – now that it is complete, we can all step back and appreciate the beauty of the house, inside and out and the view of the lake. I want to take this opportunity to express our genuine satisfaction with the entire process of building our lake house in Hardy Farms. A special thanks to Carter Gower for managing the project from start to finish, and doing an outstanding job of bringing it in right on time and right on budget, no small feat in itself. We always knew we could bank on whatever Carter told us, and he was very easy to work with. The same can be said for Dana and her efficiency in tracking construction costs on a daily basis. They both eliminated the need for us to be on site every day.
